NOTES: Entry
fee includes green fees, carts, and range balls. Mr. Kang (Clary Fields’ owner) is giving us a
reduced rate of $40 per day. That will
leave us $140 per team for prize money with several places paid. 100% of the prize money will be returned in
cash prizes. The team handicaps will be
adjusted after the first round, which should give every team a decent shot at
winning a nice cash prize. There will be
an optional skins game in each flight and a pari-mutuel if entries warrant it.
So, bring
your Okie Scramble partner, and give him a test drive. If your Okie partner is unavailable, grab
someone else’s partner. It should be a
good tune-up for the Okie Scramble. You
guys who live in other places are welcome to come to
Mr. Kang is
one of our Okie Scramblers, and thought it would be a good idea to have a
preview event such as this, and I agreed and offered to help him. Let’s try to make this first-time effort a
successful one. Hopefully, we can do it
every summer.
